CarbLuma Support

They are estimates from a photo. A photo can't show exact portion weights, hidden ingredients, oils, sauces or added sugars. Always review and correct each item before you tap Confirm. Don't use estimates for insulin dosing or treatment decisions.

In CarbLuma, net carbs = total carbohydrate − dietary fiber. Sugar alcohols are shown but not subtracted, because their effect varies by type. If fiber wasn't recorded for a food, its net carbs equal its total carbs, and the app tells you so.

Your food log is stored on your device, and in your private iCloud only if you turn on iCloud sync. We don't have an account system and can't see your log. Meal photos are sent for analysis only when you tap Analyze Photo, and our server doesn't store them. Read the Privacy Policy for details.

In the app, go to Settings → Delete All Data. This removes every food entry and favorite from your device, and from iCloud if sync is on. It doesn't cancel a subscription.

To ask us to delete the usage records on our server that are tied to your installation, email support@clinicaltools.app.

Go to Settings → Subscription → Manage Subscription in the app, or open your Apple Account settings on your iPhone (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid renewal. Refunds are handled by Apple.

Go to Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases, signed in with the Apple Account you used to subscribe.

Product data comes from Open Food Facts, a community database, so not every product is listed. You can enter the food manually, or scan its nutrition label with CarbLuma Pro.

CarbLuma asks for camera access the first time you take a meal photo or scan a barcode or label. If you declined, open the iPhone Settings app, scroll to CarbLuma, and turn on Camera. You can still choose a photo from your library without camera access.

AI analysis needs an internet connection and counts toward your monthly allowance (5 per month on Free, 150 on Pro). A failed analysis isn't counted. If it keeps failing, try again later or email us.
