Log carbs your way

Fast for the foods you eat every day, flexible for everything else. You stay in control of every number.

Manual entry

Type a food and its carbs, with optional fiber, sugar, serving size and notes. Favorites and recent foods make repeat meals a single tap.

Snap a meal

Take or choose a photo and get an AI carb estimate for each food you can see. You review, edit and confirm every item. Nothing is saved automatically.

Barcode scanning

Look up packaged foods in the community-run Open Food Facts database, then check the values before you save.

Nutrition labels Pro

Read carbs, fiber and sugars from a label photo. Text recognition happens on your iPhone, and you confirm each value.

Stats and trends

A daily dashboard with your goal and what's remaining, meal totals, and daily and weekly charts. Monthly and yearly statistics come with Pro. Days you didn't log show as "no entries", never as zero.

Total or net carbs

Choose what you track. Net carbs are total carbs minus fiber. If fiber wasn't recorded, CarbLuma tells you instead of guessing.

AI that asks before it saves

A photo can't show exact portion weights, hidden ingredients, oils, sauces or added sugars. So CarbLuma treats every AI result as a starting point, never as the final word.

  1. Snap or choose a photo

The photo is sent only when you tap Analyze, as a resized copy with location data removed.

  2. Review the estimate

See each food with a portion, a carb estimate and a range. Edit, scale, add or remove items.

  3. Confirm and save

Only when you tap Confirm does the meal go into your log. Until then, nothing is saved.

Private by design

Your food log is yours. We built CarbLuma to collect as little as possible.

  • No account required. There's nothing to sign up for.
  • Your log stays on your iPhone, or in your private iCloud if you turn on sync. We can't see it.
  • Photos leave your device only when you tap Analyze. Our server processes them in memory and doesn't store them.
  • Nutrition label scanning runs on device.
  • No ads, no analytics, no tracking. CarbLuma doesn't follow you across apps or websites.
  • Delete everything in one step from Settings whenever you like.
